Pros and Cons of living in Austin, Texas in reviews from users in their own words:
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Lots to do | Traffic, lack of scenery, too commercial |
Proximity to restaurants while being off the main roads and away from traffic | I’ve resided in Austin for just over 20 years. I came here because it was chill, no pressure. People didn’t care what your job was. You could be yourself (moved here from NYC). But now.? I’m ready to go. Austin is now full of entitled asshats who seriously all need their drivers licences revoked. It’s impossible to get anywhere quickly now. It’s a full-on car town. The vibe of the city has changed. It felt free, creative, and positive. Now? It’s like a L.A. NYC combo platter. Inflation is over the top. There aren’t enough police. APD can’t even show if someone is breaking into your house with you in it. Austin has almost…turned into the rest of Texas. |
